COLUMBUS, Ohio (March 9, 2016) – Papa John’s of Central Ohio will feature the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon on hundreds of thousands of pizza boxes during a six-week promotion leading into the annual spring celebration of fitness on April 30.
The promotion is the first of its kind for a major running event in the country. We are also extremely proud to continue our support of the OhioHealth Foundation,” said Charles Burris, Operating Partner of Papa John’s of Central Ohio. “We encourage all of our customers to participate in Cap City by running or walking in the event, coming out and cheering on family and friends or supporting the OhioHealth Foundation through our special offers.”
Papa John’s of Central Ohio will throw the “World’s Largest Pizza Party” by offering a free slice to all of the finishers in the Half Marathon, Patrón Quarter Marathon and 10TV Commit To Be Fit 5K at the Byers Xtra Mile Finish Line Party in the Columbus Commons. Papa John’s donates an estimated 2,000 large pizzas for the giveaway.
Through Race Day, Papa John’s of Central Ohio is offering an online special offer for two large one-topping pizzas and a 2-liter of soda for $22, with $2 of each purchase donated to the OhioHealth Foundation. Visit www.papajohns.com and select SPECIALS to purchase.
On April 30, Papa John’s will also donate five percent of gross sales in its 25 restaurants to the OhioHealth Foundation, the benefiting charity of the OhioHealth Capital City Half Marathon since 2015.
