PAPA JOHN’S PRESENTS CHECK TO THE JANIS FOLIGNO FOUNDATION

At the last home game of the regular season, Papa John’s of Central Ohio had a check ready to present to the Janis Foligno Foundation in the amount of $17,250. However just before the presentation, Nick Foligno scored his 26th goal, adding to the total donation!

This donation is a combination of Nick’s 26 goals and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Defender pizza during the hockey season. All donations will be given to the Janis Foligno Foundation, an organization that supports local charities and research projects committed to finding a cure for cancer, and which provide care and treatment to those battling the disease.

And as the Jackets head into the postseason Papa John’s is doubling down to fight cancer! For each goal Nick scores during the postseason, we will donate $1,000 to the Janis Foligno Foundation!

OUR CAPTAIN, NICK FOLIGNO SCORES 26 GOALS

On Thursday April 6, 2017 Nick scored his 26th goal of the 2016-2017 season. Papa John’s is proud to partner with Nick and donate to the Janis Foligno Foundation for each goal he scores this season.

All season long, as you pile on the pepperoni with our Defender pizza, Papa John’s will pile on the donation. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Defender pizza will be donated to the Janis Foligno Foundation. The additional donation will complement the ongoing Papa John’s support already given for each Nick Foligno goal.

Papa John’s will donate $500 for every goal Nick Foligno scores during the 2015-16 and 2016-17 Blue Jackets season. All donations will be given to the Janis Foligno Foundation, an organization that supports local charities and research projects committed to finding a cure for cancer, and which provide care and treatment to those battling the disease.

PAPA JOHN’S® DOUBLES DOWN ON #FOLIGNO500

Columbus, Ohio, March 29, 2017 – Charles Burris, Vice President/Operating Partner of Papa John’s of Central Ohio, is excited to announce the expansion of Foligno500 for the upcoming postseason.

#Foligno500 was created through Papa John’s Partnership with Nick Foligno, Captain of the Columbus Blue Jackets. Throughout the 2016-17 season, every time Nick scored a goal, Papa John’s donated $500 to the Janis Foligno Foundation, an organization that supports local charities and research projects committed to finding a cure for cancer. The foundation also provides care and treatment to those battling the disease.

So far in the 2016-17 season, Nick’s goal scoring has generated $12,000 in donations to the Janis Foligno Foundation from Papa John’s Pizza. To add to this, John Buccigross from ESPN has committed, via Twitter, to match the donation given by Papa John’s. Thank You Bucci!

“Our family can’t thank Charles and Michelle and the Papa John’s family enough for their support of the Janis Foligno Foundation and our fight against cancer,” said Foligno. “Their commitment has allowed us to continue our work to help those affected by cancer with the many services we support, but most importantly their contributions aid in the research to help find a cure for this horrible disease.”
As Nick Foligno and the Columbus Blue Jackets gear up for the postseason, Papa John’s will be doubling down on their donation. We call it #Foligno1000! For every goal Nick scores during the postseason Papa John’s will donate an additional $1,000 to the Janis Foligno foundation. “We are excited to expand on the Foligno500 throughout the playoffs,” said Burris. “Nick had a great season and we hope he keeps it going. We are so extremely proud to support the great work of the Janis Foligno Foundation!” Go Nick! Go Jackets! Beat Cancer!

PAPA JOHN’S ESTABLISHES ITSELF AS ALTERNATIVE PAYMENTS LEADER AMONG NATIONAL PIZZA CHAINS AND RELEASES NEW PIZZA TRACKER

The pizza brand announces the addition of PayPal to its growing list of digital payment options and the release of Papa Track

LOUISVILLE, Ky.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Papa John’s International (NASDAQ: PZZA) has reinforced its commitment to providing a better customer experience with enhancements to its digital ordering process. Today, the brand announced the addition of PayPal as a digital payment option, and the introduction of Papa Track – a digital pizza tracker that allows customers to follow the pizza process from the oven to delivery.

Papa John’s has made significant investments in digital innovation, customer experience and staffing. Over the past year, Papa John’s has increased and enhanced its tech staff, including the appointment of its first Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO), Mike Nettles.

“When it comes to technology and innovation, we are committed to improvements that positively affect the customer experience,” said Nettles. “We prioritized and invested in additional digital payment options and the development of Papa Track to provide consumers with a seamless experience, from ordering and paying for their pizza to tracking that order to delivery.”

Most Alternative Payment Options

The addition of PayPal further cements Papa John’s leadership position as the national pizza brand with the most payment choices. Why does “most” matter? The suite of payment options proves Papa John’s commitment to creating a “better” experience for its customers—whether that’s with high-quality ingredient innovations or an easier, faster checkout. Pizza lovers can customize their purchase experience from pizza to payment as easily as they can tap their fingers, choosing between options and platforms such asPayPal, Visa Checkout and PayShare powered by Venmo.

New Papa Track Technology

Pizza your way, payment your way, and now customers can track their order all the way to delivery with Papa Track. Papa Track allows customers to see the pizza process through each step: makingbakingboxingon its way, and delivered. Developed with customers in mind, Papa Track displays the estimated delivery time, is simple to use and available directly at www.papajohns.com.

For customers looking to proclaim their love for Papa John’s pizza while they wait, Papa Track includes an option to share customized Papa John’s memes and gifs on their own social channels or with family or friends to receive a code for 25 percent off their next online order.

Continued Improvement of Customer Experience

Papa John’s is focused on developing a seamless digital experience through its ongoing investments in technology and innovation, and customers are taking notice. Papa John’s was recently named a 2017 Chain Restaurant Consumers’ Choice Award Winner in the QSR category for “Use of Technology Improves the Experience.”

Papa John’s is proud of this accomplishment, but is no stranger to industry firsts; the brand was the first national pizza chain to:

  • offer digital ordering at all U.S. delivery restaurants (2001)
  • deploy system wide mobile ordering with SMS text (2007)
  • launch a nationwide digital rewards program, Papa Rewards (2010)
  • offer gift cards that can be used on mobile devices.

And, at the end of 2016, more than 55 percent of the brand’s domestic pizza sales came from online orders.

Let Papa John’s make it easier to order pizza for any celebration, and choose the payment option that works best for you. Order online at www.papajohns.com, through Papa John’s mobile ordering app for iPhone and Android devices, or through the new Apple TV app.

The Cruise sold out, hosting more than 3,800 in attendance and raising over $2.5 million! The Buckeye Cruise for Cancer has now helped raised more than $12 million in the fight against cancer.

On opening night, forty-five former athletes were introduced, as well as a special recognition event held for over 400 cancer survivors. Among those present were former Buckeye greats, Robert Smith, A.J. Hawk, Dustin Fox, Bobby Carpenter, Archie Griffin, Zeke Elliott, Joshua Perry, and Anthony Schlegel, to name a few.

Hometown stars, Rascal Flatts headed up the national entertainment, performing a concert poolside for the Buckeye Cruise for Cancer guests. Letter from Founder, Chairman and CEO “Papa John” Schnatter celebrates latest accomplishment in brand’s BETTER INGREDIENTS. BETTER PIZZA. Promise

LOUISVILLE, KY., (October 4, 2016) In June of 2015, Papa John’s International Inc. (NASDAQ: PZZA) announced that it was working to remove 14 unwanted ingredients from its menu. Today, the pizza-making organization marked another Clean Label milestone with the fulfillment of that promise through a letter from Founder, Chairman and CEO “Papa John” Schnatter.

Dear Fellow Pizza Lovers –

Last June, I made a promise in an open letter in USA Today to the Moms and Dads of America that we would remove 14 unwanted ingredients from Papa John’s pizzas by the end of 2016. Those ingredients included:

Artificial Colors (Synthetic and Certified FD&C)

  1. Synthetic Beta Carotene
  2. Caramel Color
  3. Corn Syrup Solids
  4. Titanium Dioxide (color enhancer)

Artificial Flavors

  1. Vanillin

Flavor Enhancers

  1. Disodium Guanylate
  2. Disodium Inosinate
  3. Hydrolyzed Corn/Soy Protein
  4. Autolyzed Yeast

Sweeteners

  1. HFCS
  2. Corn Syrup

Preservatives

  1. Calcium Propionate
  2. Phosphoric Acids

Other

  1. Maltodextrin – thickener

Today, I’m proud to announce that promise has been fulfilled!  We have completed the full removal of these unwanted ingredients across our entire food menu. We continue to be a brand leader when it comes to clean ingredients by achieving key milestones on our promise of BETTER INGREDIENTS. BETTER PIZZA., which was pledged over 30 years ago. We are incredibly proud of the work we have done, and continue to do, to fulfill this promise.

I started this company with a commitment to providing families with the highest-quality ingredients on our menu. I knew that with better ingredients, we could create better pizzas for everyone to enjoy. We continue to deliver on this promise today.

As part of our Clean Label commitment to you, Papa John’s was the first national pizza delivery chain to announce the removal of: preservatives such as BHA and BHT, flavor enhancer MSG, cellulose and partially hydrogenated oils, and High Fructose Corn Syrup. We also fully transitioned our chicken used in grilled chicken pizza toppings and chicken poppers to be fed on a vegetarian diet and raised without human or animal antibiotics. And as we promised this summer – we’ve completed the transition to cage-free eggs across our entire menu.

But we aren’t done being “Better.” Our Chief Ingredient Officer, Sean Muldoon, and his team continue to explore how we can deliver on our promise of BETTER INGREDIENTS. BETTER PIZZA. This fall, you will hear more from us with new and innovative menu items that remain true to our clean ingredient promise. We continue to prioritize our path of quality and transparency, and work to deliver better ingredients with every single order.

When I opened the doors to Papa John’s in 1984, I had one goal in mind: Better Pizza.  Today, our Clean Label journey remains an essential part of that promise, and our commitment to you, our customer, is as strong as ever. As we look ahead, I am proud to continue creating milestones on that journey and excited to show you what we have in store for the future.

Papa John’s:  Better Ingredients. Always Had Them. Always Will. Respectfully,

“Papa John” Schnatter Founder, Chairman and CEO

Name entitlement of the hockey club’s promotion team highlights the elevated partnership

COLUMBUS, OHIO — The Columbus Blue Jackets and the locally-owned franchisee group for Papa John’s Pizza announced today the multiyear renewal and enhancement of its corporate partnership.  Papa John’s Pizza, which holds designation as the official pizza of the Columbus Blue Jackets, has been affiliated with the NHL club since the 2011-12 season.

The newest component of the partnership is name entitlement of the Blue Jackets promotions team.  Members of the newly rebranded “Papa John’s Goal Patrol” are team ambassadors that actively engage fans at games and around the community.  On game nights, they meet and greet guests, solicit fans to participate in various promotions and on-ice contests and distribute prizes.  They are also involved in numerous team and community events on a year-round basis.

“We’re excited to continue our fantastic relationship with the Blue Jackets and we’re eager to get the Papa John’s Goal Patrol out to interact with fans both inside Nationwide Arena and at community events across Ohio,” said Charles Burris, vice president and operating partner of Johncol, Inc., the Columbus franchise group.

“The local Papa John’s franchisee group is always looking for new ways to activate and engage with our fans so aligning them with our interactive promotion team is a great extension of the partnership,” added Cameron Scholvin, senior vice president, chief revenue officer of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The renewed partnership continues familiar in-game activation such as the pizza toss and presentation of Papa John’s Future Jackets youth hockey intermission features.  In addition, Papa John’s continues the “Score Twice, Half Price” promotion where fans that order online can receive 50% off large pizzas the day following any home or road game in which the Jackets score two goals.  To activate the discount, fans must order on PapaJohns.com and enter promotional code “Jackets50” at checkout.

Papa John’s CBJ Student Rush program also returns to provide high school and college students discounted game tickets and a free offer from Papa John’s.

The Blue Jackets will kick off their 16th NHL season on Thursday, October 13 against the Boston Bruins.  Tickets for all home games are currently available for purchase online at BlueJackets.com, Ticketmaster.com, or in person at the Big Lots Box Office at Nationwide Arena, OhioHealth Chiller Ice Rinks and all Ticketmaster Ticket Centers.  Fans may purchase tickets by phone at (800) 745‐3000.
