“I’m so proud to be teaming up again with Papa Johns,” said Foligno. “Their efforts in the fight against cancer and helping the Janis Foligno Foundation continue our work is truly appreciated. I look forward to helping my team on the ice by scoring many goals, which in return will help so many off the ice because of Papa John’s gracious commitment to our fight against cancer.”
As part of the partnership, for every goal Nick scores, Papa John’s Pizza will donate $500 during the regular season and $1,000 for playoff goals, with a minimum donation of $15,000. All donations will be given to the Janis Foligno Foundation, an organization that supports local charities and research projects committed to finding a cure for cancer, and which provide care and treatment to those battling the disease. Additionally, Papa John’s will be featuring Foligno in several advertising mediums including some new entertaining television commercials to air during the Blue Jackets season.
Papa John’s has partnered with Nick Foligno, Blue Jackets Foundation, and the Janis Foligno Foundation in past seasons. This continued partnership will help contribute even more toward the fight against cancer.
“We have had a fantastic partnership with Nick for years now,” said Burris, “we’ve had a lot of fun with the fans and have raised over $70,000 for the fight against cancer and children’s charities. Nick is a class act and we are excited to continue our partnership.”
